I was born in Russia but didn't start pursuing an interest in art until after I emigrated to New Zealand in 2006.  My Russian heritage allows me to draw on different landscapes and colours from those typically experienced in New Zealand and at times, a fusion of both will be seen in my art.

We are so lucky to be born on such a beautiful planet where we are exposed to amazing imagery and colours.

My favourite medium is acrylic and oil on canvas or canvas boards and my artwork ranges from landscapes to still life.  As a lover of nature, I thoroughly enjoy painting animals, birds and wildlife and this extends to the painting of pet portraits. It doesn't matter what tools or techniques are used to create something outstanding - the finished work speaks for itself. Drawing on my own imaging elements I try to express the beauty of the world through my eyes and the emotions this raises in me.

My current artwork shows a move from realism to humorous surrealism. Making people laugh is the goal I want to achieve creating my artwork.

My artwork can be found in galleries throughout New Zealand and in private collections overseas. Visitors are very welcome to visit my home art studio and a phone call in advance will allow you and I to arrange a mutually convenient time. Commissions are welcome and can be discussed in detail at any time.
